William leads the Cleantech Practice at Weber Shandwick, providing communications counsel to companies, foundations and NGOs engaged in clean energy, efficiency, water, building, advanced materials, IT, climate and next-gen transportation. He has more than 20 years of experience in media and marketing. As leader for the global Cleantech Practice, William coordinates activities and account management across North America, Asia and Europe. He provides strategic guidance to clients in market positioning, branding, advanced storytelling and thought leadership.
William's has worked with a range of companies including Cabonetworks, ClimateWorks Foundation, Energy Free Home Foundation, EnviroTower, Hycrete Technologies, PetroAlgae, Perkins+Will, REC, SkyFuel, Verdiem.
Before joining Weber Shandwick, William had a successful career as a foreign correspondent and editor, working for Agence France-Presse and the Asian Wall Street Journal. He followed journalism with a period of entrepreneurship, establishing and managing several start-ups involved in digital marketing, film production & publishing and market entry consulting.
William is an active member of the Cleantech community.
