Dr. Yoram Cohen
Dr. Cohen is a Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of California, Los Angeles. He is the Director, Water Technology Research Center as well as the Director, Center for Environmental Risk Reduction. He is a participating Faculty Member, UCLA Interdepartmental Environmental Science and Engineering Program (1992-present)
Dr. Cohen received his B.A.Sc., (Honor Standing) University of Toronto (1975); M.A.Sc., University of Toronto (1977); Ph.D., University of Delaware (1981) . He is a Board member, North American Membrane Society, 2nd Vice Chair, AIChE Separations Division (2006; 1st Vice-Chair and Chair by succession in 2007 and 2008, respectively. He was also a Distinguished Visiting Professor (2006), Victoria University (Australia)
In addtion, Dr. Cohen is a member, Executive Committee, AIChE Environmental Division (2000-present), as well as International Science Advisory Committee, Water Research Center, Israel Institute of Technology . He held a Del Amo Research Fellowship and was a Lady Davis Fellow. He was a member, Editorial Review Board: Journal of Air and Waste Manag. Assoc., a councilor: Southern California Society for Risk Analysis, Director, AIChE, Separations Division, a Member, Editorial Board: Journal of Hazardous Materials and Associate Editor: J. of Exposure Analysis and Environmental Epidemiology (1991 - 1994). He was also on the , NRC Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology, USEPA Science Advisory Board, and Editorial Review Board: J. of Toxicology and Industrial Health (1987 - 1990)
