Alan G. Hinchman
Alan was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and began his career while in college working for a small industrial engineering company, Burr Engineering. After graduation Alan joined one of the largest global engineering consultant CH2M Hill and spent the next two years traveling between branches working on numerous infrastructure related projects. In 1997 was promoted to lead the Southeast Automation Group for CH2M Hill. For the next 3-years Alan lead the automation deployment of seven new Orlando Utilities Commission water plants. He joined GE Automation Services in Charlotte, NC as an Application Engineer in 2000, and promoted a number of times reaching Water Commercial Leader. In 2005, GE Automation Services was sold and the new owners Maverick Technologies retained Alan as Vice President of Operational Consulting. While at Maverick, he was responsible for the develop of their Utility Optimization offering and worked with many Fortune 500 businesses on reducing energy and water consumption. Alan rejoined GE with GE Intelligent Platforms in 2007 as a Global Industry Manager where he serves today.
